How StreamingWars works: watch it, vote for it, make something better
The short answer
StreamingWars is a short-film showdown directed by its viewers. Two vertical shorts play side by side and you vote for the one you like more; you can call slop on the ones that waste your time; and you can make your own contender with the same built-in AI video tools everyone uses. Shorts are made on the site, not uploaded. Watching is free, voting needs a free account, and every vote earns credits toward your own shorts.

The ring
- 01
Two shorts, side by side
Same category, similar length. They autoplay; swipe for the next pair.
- 02
Vote for one
Your vote is a point for that short. After five votes the matchup settles.
- 03
Fresh first, then your winners
Signed in, you see shorts you haven't judged yet, then rounds between your own earlier picks, never the same matchup twice, on any device.
- 04
Watch more
Want the story to continue? Watch more counts as a vote and opens that short's series.
Slop
Next to every short's title is a Slop button. Tap it and only that short is swapped for another; the one you liked keeps playing. One Slop per person per short. A short with at least ten Slop votes, and more Slop than positive votes, leaves the ring. Scrolling past a pair counts as not choosing either, except shorts you've voted for or upvoted before. More in what AI slop is.
Explore and the rankings
- Explore shows the newest shorts first, searchable by title. Tap one and it opens a full-screen swipe feed that plays as you go, with shorts you haven't seen ahead of ones you have.
- Each short has a green upvote: one per person, and never on your own.
- The Rankings have three boards: Most votes (one vote, one point), Most watched (how much of each short people watch) and Creators. Today, this week or all time.
- Money and followers never move a ranking.
Making a short
Every short is made on StreamingWars with its built-in AI video tools, built for fast, low-cost making. In Simple mode you type an idea (and add reference images if you like) and the length, category, story and shots are worked out for you. In Advanced you direct it shot by shot, set the length from 15 seconds to 2 minutes, and can check the storyboard before filming. Every short is 9:16 with sound, keeps its recipe, and can be remade. Start with how to make AI videos.

Who's in the ring
Anyone 18 or over with an account can make shorts. StreamingWars also runs its own shows, such as @losthistorytapes for history POVs and @impossible_kitchen for impossible ASMR, which compete under the same rules. Standout shorts can be reposted to StreamingWars' own TikTok, YouTube and X accounts, credited and labelled as AI-made. House rules: no real people, no famous characters, nothing sexual, nothing hateful.
