AI video with sound: rain on the roof, a door, one line that lands
The short answer
Every short made on StreamingWars comes with sound: the room, the weather, footsteps, music when it fits, and spoken dialogue with a steady voice for each character. The sound is planned in the storyboard with the pictures, not added afterwards. Lines sync best when they're short (under ten words), one per shot and filmed in a medium shot, or spoken off screen.

What you hear
- Soundscape: rain, traffic, a fridge hum, wind in a field. It's written per shot, so a cut to outside sounds like outside.
- Effects: a door, a phone, a glass on a table, the doorbell.
- Music: only when the scene wants it, and named by mood.
- Dialogue: short lines in English, each speaker with one voice kept across the short.
- Silence: sometimes the strongest choice, especially in horror.
Writing lines that sync
| Do | Don't |
|---|---|
| One line per shot | Two speakers in one shot |
| Under ten words | A monologue |
| Medium shot when someone speaks | Speech in an extreme close-up |
| A line off screen over a listener's face | Narrating what we can already see |
| Names said once and clearly | Names that change spelling between shots |
Each category has a line budget built in: about one line per 15 seconds in horror, one per 8 seconds in romance and one per 6 seconds in comedy. Fewer lines mean fewer chances for a mouth to slip.
Formats that don't need lip sync
Some of the best formats avoid on-screen speech altogether: AI ASMR runs on texture sounds, nature documentary parodies use an off-screen narrator, VHS home videos put the voice behind the camera, and doorbell camera clips get by on a chime and footsteps.
What still goes wrong
- Stiff lip sync on longer lines. Our reviewer flagged it as one of the most common faults.
- Voices that sound a little synthetic in emotional moments. Underplay it: a small line beats a big one.
- No voice cloning and no real voices. Characters are invented, and so are their voices.
A father and his grown daughter sit in a parked car outside her new flat. Rain on the roof. He says: “You'll call?” She nods, doesn't move.

Full rankingsQuestions people ask
Do AI videos have sound?
Many newer video models make sound and pictures together. Every StreamingWars short has sound: ambience, effects, music when it fits and spoken lines.
Can AI video characters talk?
Yes. Write a short line and who says it. Keep it under ten words and in a medium shot for the cleanest sync.
Can I use my own voice or a famous voice?
No. Voices are invented for each character, and StreamingWars doesn't imitate real people.
What languages are supported?
Lines are written in English today.
